Spreker: Pete Matthews

Pete Matthews is Creative Director of frog design's Amsterdam studio. He's responsible for safeguarding the quality of the studio's creative output and ensuring that client ambitions, customer needs, 'big ideas' and detailed design solutions all remain in balance. His work focuses upon developing the user experience of digitally convergent products and applications.

Pete has over thirteen years experience in the fields of consumer electronics, product development, user experience design and experiential prototyping. Whilst working for Philips Design in the Netherlands, he has provided innovation and strategic consulting services to numerous Philips businesses and diverse other clients in the automotive, travel and retail sectors. Respectively, these include General Motors, Samsonite and Albert Heijn supermarkets. His works for Philips, notably ‘concept-car’, vision projects, have received international accolades and recognition.

Pete holds an M.Sc. degree in Human Factors from University College London, along with a B.Sc. in Industrial Design from London's Brunel University.

Frog design works across a broad spectrum of industries, including consumer electronics, telecommunications, healthcare, media, education, finance, retail, and fashion. Our clients include Disney, GE, HP, Intel, Microsoft, MTV, Qualcomm, Seagate, Siemens and others.
